  • Style Guide: Christmas Trees

Christmas has always been a magical time of year for me. The twinkling lights, the smell of pine, the joy in the air – it all brings back so many cherished memories from childhood. Now, I get to create moments of beauty for others, but there’s something especially personal about decorating my own space for the holidays. So when my niece and nephew joined me for our annual ritual of decorating not one, but three Christmas trees, it was truly a heartwarming experience.

For me, Christmas isn’t just about the decorations – it’s about the memories you create along the way. Watching my niece and nephew’s faces light up as they placed ornaments on the trees reminded me that these traditions, these moments of togetherness, are what truly make the season special. And as much as I love to decorate, I love the idea of passing down that love for design and creativity to them, too.

  • The first tree is in my dining room, adorned with food-related ornaments – from tiny caviar tins to donuts and cocktail glasses as well as miniature London landmarks celebrating my elective home – it’s a nod to my love for travel, gourmet experiences, and the little moments that make life special.

The second tree is in my living room room and is inspired by the stunning patterns and colors of a ceramic stool by artist Reinaldo Sanguino in my living room. Richly adorned with vibrant, hand-painted ornaments, it echoes the same bold, artistic flair that Sanguino’s work captures so beautifully.

Rooted in tradition, my third tree is decorated with meticulously handcrafted Mexican ornaments made from wood and woven materials. Each piece tells a story of skilled artisanship, celebrating the intricate craftsmanship and cultural heritage of Mexico.
