End-of-year Holiday gifts are a wonderful tradition used to show our appreciation for those who make our life better throughout the year. Gift-giving does not only acknowledge your gratitude but also forms part of an age-old tradition that characterizes a great host.
Personally, I love giving edible gifts that bring people together and include references to the season. This year my gift, hand-wrapped with an emerald green ribbon, hopes to inspire a charming charcuterie board with olive oil and sea salt crackers, fig jam and cheese. Dating back to the Romans and later the French, the luxurious practice of eating salted and smoked meats and cheeses has now expanded to include vegetables, breads, fruits and jams. Charcuterie boards are perfectly paired with wine and make for a calm and comforting meal to share with our loved ones in winter.
